Chef Taryn Maravel is a Pacific Northwest chef whose cooking is deeply rooted in the landscapes and waters that shaped her. From the forests to the vineyards to the sea, her food reflects a life lived close to nature - foraging wild mushrooms, tending to her gardens, harvesting oysters, and creating meals that celebrate the rhythm of the seasons.​After years connected to the waters of the Puget Sound through oyster farming, Taryn now lives in Selah, Washington, where she and her husband Chuck cultivate grapes and host gatherings at their vineyard estate Chateau Valhalla - bringing people together is her true passion through beautiful table settings, unforgettable meals and a shared glass of wine. ​Through Harvest and Hearth, Taryn creates elevated catering and dining experiences inspired  by the Pacific Northwest - from vineyard dinners and elegant weddings to seasonal feasts over the fire built around the region's finest ingredients.​Her cooking philosophy centers on the Forest to Fork - Tide to table, honoring ingredients at their source and allowing their natural character to guide the plate.​Whether preparing Puget Sound oysters with bright mignonettes, foraged mushrooms folded into handmade pasta, or slow roasted meats with garden herbs, Taryn's food tells a story of place - one rooted in land, season and gathering.
